Welcome to the Canada Energy Regulator's Event Reporting System. This system is intended for use by regulated companies to provide notification to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) and Transportation Safety Board (TSB) of various events that are defined in regulation including incidents, contraventions of Damage Prevention Regulations – authorizations, damage to pipe, and operations and maintenance activities. This system is also to be used to provide notification of contaminated sites as well as the submission on geospatial and asset information. If you are a member of the public that wishes to report an event please contact the TSB reporting hotline at (819) 997-7887.

Timelines for reportable events vary depending on the event being reported and its potential severity. For more details, please see the CER Event Reporting Guidelines.

To report a new event, click the Continue button at the bottom of this page. You will be asked to enter contact information; then you will receive an email with a link that will allow you to complete your initial submission. You may then continue to complete your final submission or you may use the link to return at a later time.

Any information submitted to the CER in this form can be made public on the Open Government Canada website and REGDOCS. You must comply with all applicable privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act when completing this form. Do not disclose personal information of third parties without their consent. Please read our Important notices for more information about privacy.
