Safety inspection went well and no non-compliances were noted at any of the CWP’s.
All environmental protection mitigations were present at each CWP. Sediment fencing, drip trays, spill kits, fencing and signage along all watercourses etc.
Critter spotting cards available at CWP 99 & 62 for workers to fill out should they see any wildlife on site.
Species at risk were printed off with pictures and information relating to the species at CWP 62 for Western Painted Turtle, Oregon Forrest Snail and Barn Owl. Bear awareness information poster posted as well.
Digging by shovel to determine soil quality at CWP 62. KFN was not present at the time of the testing during the CVA but did give approval for four shovel digging tests. Approval for further digging was pending. Concerns mentioned by IM1 TM during CVA of knowledge of chance find procedure at contractor and worker level. CER IO's and IAMC IM’s watched the site specific orientation video at close out meeting to see the level of information given on chance finds.
