• Hazardous materials are properly stored and a secondary containment is in place.
• Shop/warehouse lighting is appropriate.
• Supplies are carefully stored on shelves that are marked with load capacity.
• Spare parts are neatly stored in tool boxes.
• General housekeeping is appropriate. 

• The inspected Énergir vehicles are equipped with the appropriate personal protective equipment («PPE »), technology infrastructure, supplies and equipment.
• Énergir representatives demonstrated a good understanding of procedural equipment, PPE and how to use them in an emergency.
• Stored equipment, tools and PPE are properly maintained.
• The emergency/repair vehicle is equipped with properly stored equipment, parts and tools.
• Énergir representatives described the maintenance and resupply (post-deployment) processes and showed the materials and equipment available for repairs and emergency responses. 

• Fencing and controlled access to valve locations.
• Appropriate signage indicates restrictions and prohibitions, PPE requirements, company name and contact information.
• A video surveillance system is in place.
• Receptor and valve infrastructure is in place.
• A communication/control building is in place.
• A fire extinguisher is in place.  

• Pipeline signs are present at a road crossing east of the valve site.
• Pipeline signs are installed at regular intervals and are visible along the pipeline right of way east of the valve site. 
• The right of way is well vegetated with compatible species (i.e., no trees or woody vegetation obscuring the pipeline centreline or the presence of the right of way).
